Welcome to the Resilience Rebellion podcast, where we challenge outdated narratives and redefine resilience on our own terms. In this episode, we dive into the complex interplay between internalized racism and Neuroplasticity within the African American community. Join us as we explore how historical trauma, as highlighted by Dr. Joy Degruy's Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome, influences our self-perception and emotional well-being. We’ll examine the cultural dynamics of celebrity endorsements and the varied reactions they evoke, shedding light on the internal struggles many face in a society that often devalues their identity. Through candid discussions and insightful perspectives, we aim to empower listeners to reclaim their narratives, embrace their authentic selves, and foster resilience in the face of adversity.
